Vacation Care Incursions
Origami & papercraft are great ideas for schools looking for a vacation care activity. I can run my origami and craft programs as incursions as part of Brisbane schools' holiday program, giving kids something new to do.
My experience as an Out of School Hours Carer gives me a unique advantage when making my programs for kids, because everyday I can try new things and find out what kids love to do. Hopefully one day I can share my fun origami and craft ideas with every school in Brisbane.
Every school has different needs and wants when it comes to these events, so please contact me and we can discuss the details further!
I run workshops at community events such as the Green Heart Fair & Recreate Twilight Markets for the Brisbane City Council. I have run origami parties at community events to celebrate the opening of new Lend Lease's residential estates. I help the lovely ladies at BrisStyle with seasonal events such as Christmas origami workshops. Australia Zoo have even asked me to help them celebrate festival weekends.
I love making Brisbane kids smile, and origami & papercraft consistently draws in big crowds to make these sorts of community events fun for everybody.
Hospitals & Aged Care
Craft can be very therapeutic for those who are not well, and the kids at Lady Cilento Children's Hospital inspire me when I am there running workshops for events. I've helped the old Brisbane Children's Hospital & Lady Cilento Children's Hospital with fun events that are great for ill kids who need to focus on fun.
I also work with diversional therapists at Aged Care Centres with craft classes that focus on keeping residents interested. I tailor them to suit residents requirements.
